Artist Statement

In this assignment, we were to take pictures of different textures and make different things with the textures, a couple of things we made were double-exposed photos. In mine, I really like the one where I put flowers over my dog. I feel like that was one really successful in the fact where the flowers are only over her fur, the ones where I overlapped two different textures I think also came out good. I like how you can see my underlying texture subtly, it adds a cool touch. I like how the texture of the images are both known, but they enhance each other to make a new texture. To enhance my double exposure pictures, I used an exposure filter called "soft". I am pleased with all of my double-exposed pictures. As for my David-Hockney picture, I think it turned out really well. I like the color scheme used in it, as well as the black and white background. I love the unity in my David-Hockney one, the color scheme and theme of the picture is in unity and is satisfying to look at. My overall favorite picture is the one of my dog, I think that one came out so well and I enjoyed making it too.
