In this project, you had to complete many steps to make it right. First, you had to pick a color scheme for your project. In my first picture is my trial Monoprint, I used an analogus, or three colors next to each other on the color wheel. I used Violet, Red-violet, and Red. In my final Monoprint, I used warm colors, Red, orange, and yellow. Next in the process was to cut out paper to put on the Gelli printing plate while making the Monoprint. In my color scheme, I added black to all the block printing inks to make them shades. I then put the lightest color on the Gelli printing plate with a pallet knife and spread it all over with a brayer. I then put the shapes down and put a watercolor paper over it and rubbed it to print it. I did that for each color until I was done. I like the balance on my final print, I think it is very even. If I were to do this again I would make sure I lined my paper up evenly. Overall, this project was very fun.
