Artist Statement

For this project, a portrait set was assigned and students were to deliberately and strategically capture the set. While taking pictures, I tried to capture the personality of whatever I was capturing to make sure that even though they might not be looking at the camera, it's an interesting picture. My favorite choice picture is the one of me holding an acai bowl at Fresh Blends. I think that the picture was really cool because the bowl was blurry, but Eric, the person in the picture, was clear. My favorite photoshop edit is the Andy Worhol edit. I think the color scheme in that picture is very ascetically appealing, the colors work well to create a blend around my bunny. I really enjoyed the out there editing, I liked how different and individualized you could make your photo. I like the way I used patterns in the Andy Worhol photo as well. The way we created our own stamp that is the name of the animal is really cool, and I believe I used the pattern in a way that looks cool. Overall, I really enjoyed this photo set, and it is one of my favorites that we have done in class.
