There are a lot of steps to a Self-Portrait Linocut. First, I printed the picture of myself and colored the dark values black and left the light values light. I then traced the black and dark values on a white paper with a light table. Next, I traced the tracing on a linocut. I carved the light spaces out so what was left on the board was the dark spaces. I painted water-based ink over the board and printed it on a white paper. I found this project fun, but it took a long time to complete. I really don't like the color of my bright pink print. My favorite one was the maroon one. I like how that color turned out. If I were to do this project again I would use a different picture of my self-considering it was a self-portrait and you can't really tell that it's me.
